About Me
A Formal Introduction
My name is L’Arianne Harris but everyone who knows me calls me “La La!” I am an independent artist; specializing in doll making. It is my hobby, my passion and a skill that I’ve acquired with time, persistence, hard work and dedication. I’m always setting new goals to achieve. I love my dolls, I love what I do.
My dolls are individual, I do not make duplicates because I hand paint my dolls; unlike a manufacturer or machine, there’s only one of each.
Dolls are heirlooms in my family, I inherited dolls from my “Grandma Short“ and will inherit dolls from my mom. Because my great grandmother made dolls, it has become a “tradition,” or perhaps a comfort, a familiarity and an expectation. Now my 7 year old daughter wants to make dolls as she watches me paint and create. I often ask her for advice and input on designs or themes.
Doll making is very special to me, I could keep every doll to my self and never sell one and pass them down to my daughters, nieces and future grandchildren and be perfectly content knowing they are treasured and appreciated.
I thank all who have inspired me, helped me through the struggle of getting to this point of sale and all those who admire, recognize, compliment and appreciate my work. Thank you. All of you.
